What we do in a data center

A data center never stops, and its technical team isn't always on site. We're the hands on the ground, whether your team is on the other side of the world or already in Japan.

  • On-site engineering — installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment in server rooms and technical spaces, with a detailed report after every visit.
  • Remote Hands — your team connects online while our engineer carries out the physical work: cabling, hardware swaps, restarts, visual checks, live and under your direction. How a Remote Hands session works.
  • Installation and decommissioning — new equipment in; end-of-life racks, power units and cabling out, with a before/after photo report. What decommissioning covers.
  • DC power on live telecom sites — -48 VDC terminations in carrier hotels and cable landing stations, by licensed electricians working in pairs. Live DC power work in detail.

Why an electrical engineer rather than a general technician

A data center enforces strict access and handling rules. An electrical engineer understands what they're doing — not just where to plug something in, but why reversed polarity or a loose cable is a real risk — and can react when something goes off the script your team planned.

Electrical work is also regulated in Japan and requires the relevant Japanese electrician's licence. An engineer flown in for the week does not hold it, and nor does a general remote-hands provider whose people swap disks and reboot servers.

How a job runs

  • the scope is agreed with your team in advance: which hardware, which service constraints, which time windows;
  • the site's access rules and working hours are respected — a team that already knows Japanese data center procedures moves faster than a contractor discovering the site on the day;
  • the work is carried out on site, live with your team when the task calls for it;
  • photos and a written report the same day, in English, French or Japanese.

Who it is for

  • data center operators and equipment manufacturers without local staff in Japan;
  • IT and network teams operating remotely who need hands on the ground;
  • telecom vendors and integrators introducing equipment on live sites;
  • sites undergoing an upgrade or a decommissioning.

What this does not cover

We do not sell colocation space, connectivity or the hardware itself: we work inside the facility you already use, under its rules. Work that requires the manufacturer's own certified technician is flagged before quoting, not after.
