Who is responsible
This site is run by DAK Solutions, based in Tokyo, Japan (〒107-0061 東京都港区北青山1-3-3 三橋ビル 3階). There is no marketing department and no call centre: we read and answer your message ourselves.
For any question about your data, write to contact@daksolutions.jp.
What is collected
What you type into the contact form yourself, when you press send:
- your name;
- your email address;
- your telephone number;
- the subject you select and the message you write.
Simply reading the site, on the other hand, triggers automatic analytics — see "Cookies and analytics" below.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. This tool sets a cookie in your browser as soon as you arrive on the site.
To opt out, use an ad/tracker blocker, Google's own opt-out browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout), or your browser's settings to block third-party cookies.
Google processes this data under its own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
Why it is collected
To answer you, to prepare a quotation, and to keep a record of what was agreed. Your data is never sold, rented, or used to send you anything you did not ask for.
Who else sees it
A message travels through a small number of technical providers before it reaches the mailbox:
- Netlify — hosting of the site and handling of the form. The submission is recorded by Netlify, which also sends the notification. Netlify keeps standard server logs (IP address, date, page requested) for a limited period, and screens submissions for spam.
- Google Workspace — the mailbox where the message is stored and read.
These providers operate servers outside Japan, which means your message crosses borders on its way to the mailbox. No one else receives your data.
How long it is kept
Messages that do not lead to a job are deleted within twelve months. Messages attached to a quotation or an intervention are kept for five years, because Japanese bookkeeping rules require the supporting documents of a transaction to be available for that long.
Your rights
Under the Japanese Act on the Protection of Personal Information (個人情報保護法) you may ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to contact@daksolutions.jp and you will get an answer within a few working days. There is no form to fill in and no fee.
If you are writing from the European Union, the same applies under the GDPR: access, rectification, erasure, and the right to object to any further use.
Changes to this page
If this site adds a new tool or changes provider, this page is updated before that happens, and the date at the top changes with it.
