Why independent inspection matters
Most technical reports on a solar asset in Japan come from the installer, the EPC contractor, or the equipment manufacturer. That works fine when nothing is wrong. It works less well when you need a second opinion you can actually rely on.
DAK Solutions is not an installer and does not sell or represent any panel, inverter, or mounting system. The findings in every report reflect what was measured on site, not what protects a business relationship.
Scope of inspection
Inspection work is carried out at ground level with handheld and mounted instruments. No rooftop access or work at height is required or offered.
- String-level electrical testing (open-circuit voltage, short-circuit current, insulation resistance) to isolate underperforming strings
- Thermographic imaging of modules and junction boxes to identify hot spots, cell defects, and connection faults
- Production audit comparing actual output against expected yield, using irradiance and weather data for the site
- Site documentation and photographic record of findings
Who this is for
This service is built for foreign funds, asset managers, and industrial owners who hold solar assets in Japan but are not positioned to send their own technical staff on site.
It suits due diligence before acquisition, an annual health check on an operating asset, or a targeted investigation when output is underperforming expectations.
The report
Findings are delivered as a written report in English or French, covering the measurements taken, any anomalies found, and their likely cause. The report is written for an asset manager or investment team, not only for a site technician.
What this does not cover
This is an inspection and reporting service, not installation, maintenance, repair, or panel cleaning. It does not include supply of equipment or parts, and it does not include any work at height: elevated or rooftop inspection points are assessed from the ground or by thermographic imaging rather than by climbing.
